1. Permissions & Device Access
The App requests specific hardware permissions to execute core document scanning features: Camera Access (android.permission.CAMERA): Used to open the camera viewport to auto-detect borders, crop, and capture physical documents. Camera frames are processed locally. Device Storage Access (Read/Write): Used to save, export, and manage compiled PDF files in your device's local directories.
2. Local Document Processing
VeeiQ PDF Scanner is designed for local-first document processing. Scanning, OCR, PDF creation, and document processing are performed locally on your device. VeeiQ PDF Scanner does not upload your scanned images, PDF documents, or OCR content to VeeiQ cloud servers.
3. Advertising
VeeiQ PDF Scanner is supported by advertising provided through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). Advertising may require internet access to serve relevant ads. Advertising-related information and device identifiers may be processed by Google under Google's applicable privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information or documents to advertisers.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not require a VeeiQ account or registration. We do not collect, read, or upload your physical documents, scanned files, or PDF contents to VeeiQ servers.
5. Data Sharing
VeeiQ does not sell users' documents or personal information. User-initiated file sharing features within the App can transfer a selected file to the service or application chosen by the user via the native Android sharing intent.
6. Document Storage & Deletion
Documents generated by the App are stored in your device's local storage. You have full control over the local document deletion process directly through the App or your device's file manager.
7. Children's Privacy
VeeiQ PDF Scanner is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Local-first processing ensures that documents remain on the device.
8. Third-Party Services
The App utilizes third-party services such as Google Mobile Ads SDK for advertising. These external services are governed by their own respective privacy policies and terms of service.
9. Privacy & Data Retention
Because VeeiQ PDF Scanner does not upload your documents to our servers, we do not retain your files. Your files exist solely on your device or wherever you choose to export them.
